About
Revio.
- How does Revio's pricing compare to clinics abroad?
Pricing reflects the operating model behind it. At Revio, every surgical incision is performed by a physician — not a technician. Clinics that offer lower prices are typically delivering a different model: technicians making incisions, higher volume, and fewer medical safeguards. Different model, different price.
- Who performs my procedure?
Dr. Vézina personally performs every surgical incision in your procedure: the donor harvesting punches and the recipient sites that determine the final result. The non-incisional supporting work — extraction, microscope preparation, quality checks, and implantation — is performed by our lead technician under Dr. Vézina's direct oversight. This is the legally required division of work in Canada, and the model used by every reputable clinic.
- How is Revio different from other Canadian hair transplant clinics?
We are a single-physician boutique practice that performs one procedure per day. Most clinics operate at higher volume, with multiple parallel procedures and delegated surgical work. We chose a different model on purpose.
- Where is Revio located?
We operate from two locations: Montréal and Toronto. Patients from across Canada and the United States are welcome.
About the
procedures.
- Is a hair transplant permanent?
Yes. The relocated follicles retain their genetic resistance to loss and continue to grow in their new position for life.
- Is an eyebrow transplant permanent?
Yes. Once the follicles complete their growth cycle, they remain for life.
- Is the procedure painful?
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and is not painful. Patients describe mild discomfort during the anesthetic injection and a tight or sensitive feeling for a few days afterward.
- How long does a hair transplant take?
Most procedures last between 6 and 9 hours, depending on graft count.
- How long does an eyebrow transplant take?
Typically 3 to 5 hours.
- What technique does Revio use?
We use FUE — Follicular Unit Extraction — for both hair and eyebrow transplants. We do not perform strip (FUT) surgery as a primary technique, though we can address existing FUT scars.
Recovery &
results.
- How long is recovery?
Most patients return to non-physical work within a week. Visible scabbing resolves in 7–10 days. Final results take 9–12 months.
- When will I see my final result?
Hair transplant: 9 to 12 months. Eyebrow transplant: 6 to 9 months. The brow's superior blood circulation accelerates regrowth.
- Will I lose my transplanted hair?
Some shedding ("shock loss") is normal in the first weeks. The follicles remain in place. New growth begins around month 3–4 and matures by month 12.
- What aftercare is included?
A personalized aftercare kit, a day-after call from Dr. Vézina, and in-clinic follow-ups at 1 week, 1 month, 6 months, and 12 months — all included in the procedure price.

candidacy.
- Am I a candidate for a hair transplant?
Candidacy depends on your hair loss pattern, donor capacity, age, medical history, and goals. A Hair Loss Evaluation produces a clear answer.
- What if my hair loss is still progressing?
We may recommend a period of medical stabilization (PRP, finasteride, minoxidil) before surgery, to avoid operating on a moving target.
- Can I have a hair transplant if I had one elsewhere already?
Often, yes — but it depends on what was done and what donor capacity remains. Dr. Vézina also performs revision and repair procedures.
- Do you treat women?
Yes. Female-pattern hair loss differs from male-pattern hair loss but is treatable through transplantation, PRP, and medical therapy. Dr. Vézina has specialized experience with female cases.

- How much will my procedure cost?
Pricing depends on graft count, procedure type, and complexity. A precise quote is provided after a Hair Loss Evaluation. See our Pricing page.
- Is the consultation free?
A consultation is offered. A Hair Loss Evaluation — which includes diagnostic work, photography, and a written report — is a paid service, reflecting the time and clinical rigor of a true diagnostic appointment. The fee is applied toward the cost of your procedure if you decide to move forward with a transplant.
- How long is the wait for an appointment?
Consultations are typically available within a week. Surgical scheduling depends on procedure type and patient preference.
